"Yeah, I doubt this is really some high-profile target," Elvis says wryly. It's a relief, to say the least. Tonight is nerve-wracking enough as it is without the two of them having to worry more seriously about someone breaking in here. As it is, he has no intention of letting his guard down until the second siren has sounded in the morning, but it would be far worse if he thought there were a more significant chance of them having to deal with people making the most of the Purge. Instead, this is probably as close to safe as anyone can get who hasn't shelled out for some private bunker hidden somewhere, making it a little easier to focus on getting work done and to find whatever levity he possibly can in their situation. "People can do anything they want, probably most of 'em aren't thinking about corpses."

At least, not any that might be on the streets right now, but that's not a clarification that seems worth making.
