There was absolutely no real reason for him to believe her. They barely knew each other and Caroline was fairly certain that she came off like some sort of crazy no matter how genuine she was. Most people didn't offer up a way to fix impossible problems to mere acquaintances but what the hell. There was no harm in being nice, even if the most she could come up with was something really lame.
